Introduction

As part of my professional commitment to responsible legal practice, I will conduct a structured Access to Justice Clinic for individuals who are unable to afford legal advice. The clinic is designed to provide focused preliminary legal guidance in civil, commercial and family law matters, assisting applicants in understanding their legal position, jurisdictional considerations, and available procedural options before deciding upon any further course of action.

This initiative operates within clearly defined professional parameters and is intended to promote access to legal clarity while maintaining the integrity and independence of the practice.

Clinic Schedule

The clinic is held once a week, every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, at our office premises.

Consultations are conducted strictly on a face-to-face basis.

Attendance is by prior registration only.

Eligibility

The clinic is open to individuals who:

  • Salary below 5000 AED monthly
  • Are experiencing genuine financial hardship and cannot afford private legal representation;
  • Require general legal guidance in relation to a civil or commercial matter;
  • Seek clarification on jurisdictional, procedural, or strategic considerations; and
  • Agree to the limited scope of the clinic.
  • Criminal, visa and absconding matters are not covered.

Scope of the Session

Each consultation is limited to 15 minutes.

The session is designed to provide preliminary legal orientation only. It does not include:

  • Detailed document review;
  • Drafting of pleadings or correspondence;
  • Written legal opinions;
  • Representation before courts or tribunals;
  • Ongoing advisory services.

Conflict and Professional Position

To preserve professional independence and avoid potential conflicts of interest, no documents are reviewed at the application stage. Any subsequent engagement, if considered, will be subject to a formal conflict check and a separate written engagement agreement.
